Returns & Refunds on LEM-MARKET

Special conditions apply for the return of items purchased on the Lem-Market website. If you need to return an item that you purchased on our Marketplace, and you need to return it, you return it directly to the seller.

Withdrawal (14 day withdrawal period)

In accordance with Law 2010/021 of December 21, 2010 governing electronic commerce in Cameroon, your seller will refund the price of the item(s) you are returning, as well as the delivery charges, it being specified that, if you are returning an item that is part of a larger order, your seller will refund the price and delivery charges corresponding to the returned item. In addition, sellers are required to refund only the standard shipping charges (i.e., the cheapest shipping charges they offer). If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the cost of returning the item(s), gift-wrapping costs and additional services related to your purchase will remain at your expense (unless your seller made an error, or the item is defective).

In addition, the right of withdrawal does not apply:

- upon delivery of the product(s) which cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection if you have opened them (e.g. headphones or creams) or which, after delivery, have become contaminated ;

- to the delivery of audio or video recordings or computer software when you have opened them after delivery ;

- to the delivery of the product(s) that have been manufactured to your specifications or clearly personalized ;

- the supply of products that are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

- to the supply of fully executed services for which you have agreed, at the time of placing your order, that their execution will begin, and have waived your right of withdrawal.

LEGAL GUARANTEE

Your purchase on the Marketplace is likely to benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided by the LAW NO. 2011/012 OF MAY 6, 2011 PROTECTING THE CONSUMER IN CAMEROON , as well as the guarantee of the hidden defects of the sold article envisaged by LAW N°90/031 OF 10 AUGUST 1990 REGULATING THE COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY and the article 1641 of the civil code " the salesman is held of the guarantee because of the hidden defects of the sold thing which make it unsuitable for the use for which it is intended, or which decrease so much this use, that the purchaser would not have acquired it, or would have given only one less price of it, if it had known them ".

 You must contact the vendor directly to request the implementation of one of these guarantees. You can find the contact information for your third-party vendor on their details page. You can also contact a Customer Service representative via your customer account to obtain this contact information.

If you have already placed an order for an item sold and shipped by a seller in our Marketplace, you can check the seller's return policy on their profile by clicking on their name in the My Orders section.

The link will take you to the vendor's page. From there, you can select the Returns, Warranty and Refunds link. If there is no specific information on return policies in this section, the provisions contained in the Legal Warranty and Refunds sections of this help page will apply to your order.

Check the vendor's return policies before placing your order​

Sellers in our Marketplace are required to have return policies that comply with LEMMARKET's policies

If you would like more information about a vendor's return policies, you can click on the vendor's name and visit the vendor's detailed page. On the seller's page, you will also find information on shipping costs, customer reviews, and in some cases, information on return shipping costs.​

If your return is not shipped by the seller in accordance with its return policy, you may submit a Returned Goods Guarantee claim.

If you have already placed an order for an item sold and shipped by a Marketplace seller, you can check the seller's return policy on their profile by clicking on their name in the My Orders section.​

How to return an item to a seller

To begin the process of returning an item purchased from a vendor, go to My Orders and select Return or Replace Items.

Select the item you wish to return and the reason for the return.

If your item is eligible, you will be responsible for returning the item at your expense in the case of a simple return if you do not request a replacement. The total cost of the refund will be returned to you in the same manner as the original payment for your order.

Some sellers use a different process and may send you an email with instructions and the address to send your return to. You can also see the vendor's response in the communications.

Regarding your purchase, you are responsible for the shipping costs for returning items purchased from a vendor. Specific policies apply for fashion items.

However, if you receive a defective or damaged item, or an item that does not match the description provided by the seller (for example, if you received a used item when the item was described as new), you may be entitled to a full refund. If you contacted the seller within 30 days of delivery of the product and returned it within 14 days of arranging the return with the seller, but did not receive assistance, you may file a claim with LEMMARKET.

Note: If you are returning a cell phone, camera or other storage device, please remember to remove any passwords and personal data from it before returning it. Send your device without personal accessories not included in the original item, such as cases or external memory cards purchased separately.

We recommend that you pack the item carefully to prevent damage in transit and use a traceable shipping method with signature upon delivery.

If you do not use a traceable signature-on-delivery method to return your item and the seller does not refund you, your claim may not be accepted because it is not possible to verify that the seller received the return.

Note: If you refuse a delivery, the product is not returned with a traceable shipping method. In the event of a refused delivery, refunds may not be possible under the seller's return policies.

We recommend that you accept the delivery and then begin the return process.

 

Products must be returned in new and unworn condition, with all original packaging, labels and certificates of authenticity. All products returned without their original packaging and documentation will be refused. All products resized, modified or damaged after delivery cannot be returned.

Manage your return requests

To manage your return requests, access your orders. You can then :

​View the status of a return request.

- ​Print a return label.

- ​Display correspondence with the vendor.

- ​Cancel a return request.

Refunds

If you purchase as a "consumer" and return the purchased product within 14 calendar days of delivery, exercising the right of withdrawal, the seller will refund the shipping costs incurred to receive the product and the price paid for its purchase, as follows:

1. ​If you are returning an item that is part of an order that includes other items, the seller will refund the shipping cost of the item you choose to return.

2. ​If you are returning an entire order, the seller will refund the shipping charges for the entire order.

3. ​The seller will only reimburse you the standard shipping costs for items delivered in Cameroon.

4. ​If the seller arranges for collection of the item from you, the seller may ask you to pay the collection fee. If you use a prepaid return label, the seller will deduct the shipping cost from your total refund.​

5. ​Sellers are not required to refund or replace an order if you refuse to return the item unless you agree otherwise with the seller.

Sellers are not required to reimburse the cost of gift wrapping or other auxiliary services. When exercising the right of withdrawal, the cost of returning the product is at your expense.

If you use a prepaid return label, the seller will deduct the shipping cost from your total refund.

If you change your mind about your purchase and return the purchased item within 30 days of delivery, the seller will refund the price paid for the purchase of the returned product, but not the shipping costs you paid to receive the product. Again, sellers are not required to refund the cost of gift wrapping or other ancillary services and the cost of returning the product is your responsibility.

Your rights under the Legal Warranty of Conformity are subject to this.

When you buy from a Marketplace seller, the contract is concluded between you and the seller. LEMMARKET receives the payments and transfers them to the seller. Refunds for Marketplace orders are made by LEMMARKET at the request of the seller.

Refunds are generally processed within one week of the seller's request.

You will receive a refund on the payment method used for your purchase and LEMMARKET will send you an e-mail confirming the refund.
